Global Market Strategies, Inc. (GMS) is an international business development firm with a record of success in developing business for its clients—both overseas or in the United States. The firm is comprised of three partners, George Zoffinger, Richard Gannon and Sheikh Salim Kheireddine. Together they bring a combined 62 years of international business experience: advising companies and governments, marketing goods and services, structuring international trade, and developing and financing infrastructure projects worldwide.

Global Market Strategies (GMS) has formed strategic alliances and joint ventures in order to achieve success for out clients. Global Market Strategies UK, Ltd. was formed with Sheikh Salim Kheireddine, Chairman of the Al Mawarid Bank in Beirut, as our partner for projects in the Middle East and South Asia. The joint venture between ABCD, Inc. and NALEX International, forms a world class team that can finance and development infrastructure projects around the world. ABCD, Inc. and NALEX International specialize in the financing and development of power, heavy industrial and infrastructure projects worldwide. The principals of ABCD have overseen the successful financing and development of over US$4 billion of projects throughout the world in the last seven years.

ABCD is developing a US$210 million resort/ecotourism destination in Panama. Also being pursued are infrastructure projects in Bangladesh, Nepal, China and Nigeria and Mexico.

On the financial side, we work closely with the multilateral and bilateral Export Credit Agencies (World Bank, IFC, Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Inter-American Development Bank, and the African Development Bank and U.S. Exim Bank, OPIC and TDA), as well as the Departments of State, Commerce, Energy, Transportation and the White House.

The partners in ABCD have developed large power plants in the US, the Caribbean, China, Philippines and Romania; Water treatment plants in Chile; and a major fertilizer plant in the US. Additionally, ABCD’s principals have overseen the construction of 22 waste-to-energy plants throughout the US with a value of $1 billion.


BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

GMS is presently working on behalf of several internationally known firms to develop new business in new markets. Educational Testing Service (ETS), the premier academic assessment firm in the world, has retained GMS for “Project India,” the launching of ETS products and services in India.

Louis Berger Engineering retained GMS for its expertise in securing government sponsored projects. Recently, through the efforts of GMS, Louis Berger was awarded the project management of a US$400 million chromium clean up project in the United States.


The years of experience and long standing relationships that GMS brings to each project directly benefit our clients. The Chairman of GMS, George Zoffinger, is the Chairman and CEO of Constellation Capital, a boutique investment firm. Previously, he served as the Chairman of CoreStates/New Jersey National Bank. Subsequently, he served as President and CEO of Value Property Trust (a NYSE traded company). He was Executive Vice President and Manager of First Fidelity Bancorporation for Multinational/Trade Finance and was General Manager of Overseas Lending in London until 1990. He holds a Masters in Finance from New York University Graduate School of Business.

In addition to serving as Chairman of the Al Mawarid Bank in Beirut, Sheikh Salim Kheireddine serves on the boards of a number of international businesses. Sheikh Salim has successfully developed millions of dollars of projects all over the world. He is a graduate of the American University in Beirut.

Richard Gannon is the President of GMS. He previously served as Special Counsel to President Clinton in the White House and later as Senior Advisor the the late Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown. At Commerce, Gannon was responsible for international trade development and advocacy on behalf of US firms pursuing major projects overseas. He earned his BA from Fordham University in New York City, his law degree from Steon Hall University School of Law and a Masters of Legal Letters from Georgetown University Law Center.
